Your baby is as big as a marrow!

At birth, your baby's head is the same size as its hips, abdomen and shoulders, but will change shape through the first few weeks of its life.

Your baby also has a very firm grip, which you'll soon be able to feel when they grab your hand (or your hair).

Over the next week or two, you may find you lose your 'mucus plug' - which is basically a big lump of mucus which has been blocking the entrance to your cervix keeping it warm and moist and keeping out unwanted bacteria. Although this is a sign of labour beginning, it doesn't mean that you should rush to your hospital bag. The wait for full labour after this could be hours, days or even weeks.
